Psychedelic integration is a crucial part of the process when it comes to working with plant medicine. It involves taking the insights and teachings learned from a psychedelic experience and implementing them into our daily lives in a meaningful way.
Meet Michele, a woman whose life has been transformed by plant medicine. Her journey began after witnessing the powerful effects of a mystical experience on the father of her children. Michele has experienced many traumas in her life, including her mother’s suicide and a near-death experience in 2019. Despite these challenges, she has found healing and a renewed sense of purpose through her spiritual awakening, which started with a 12 Step Recovery program and was deepened through her experiences with plant medicine.
Michele’s passion for plant medicine has led her to dedicate herself to educating others about microdosing and providing resources for those seeking to embark on their own healing journeys. Together with her husband, Mark, Michele founded The Plant Medicine Path in 2021 and Mama Dose in 2023. Through these organizations, Michele hopes to share her knowledge and experience with others, helping them to achieve greater happiness and health in their own lives. For Michele, plant medicine is more than just a treatment option; it is a way of life, one that has given her the tools to process and heal from past traumas and continue her journey towards greater spiritual awareness.
I have 20 years of experience working in the mental health field. I began as an undergraduate working as a group facilitator and recreation therapy technician in my local hospital’s psychiatric unit and partial hospitalization unit. After graduating with my master’s degree, I moved to a therapist position in another hospital’s psychiatric unit. From there, I took a position at a local community mental health agency as a jail counselor. In this position, I treated a wide array of people in the county jail and in my agency office and had the privilege of being trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). This is where my journey and passion for working with individuals with borderline personality disorder (BPD) began. At the same time, my interest in psychedelics and their potential to help this population began brewing. I later began practicing in my own private practice and specialized in helping folx with BPD and trauma. And during that time my research into psychedelics grew exponentially and I was unofficially helping clients
integrate their psychedelic experiences. I decided to change my career to focus on this path completely and in January 2022 I graduated from a year-long program that certified me as a psychedelic integration coach.
